Turnpike to build $632 million Southern Beltway extension (TribLive)

I think @PAindependent posted this earlier:

December 21, 2012 – The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (Aa3 – 7092232N0) said Friday it plans to build another leg of the Southern Beltway in a $632.5 million project scheduled to begin in 2014. The 13-mile toll highway will run between Route 22 and Interstate 79. It is expected to take six years to complete, officials said. Commission Chairman William Lieberman said the project “will help ease congestion on arteries like the Parkway West, I-79 and U.S. Route 50,” while also spurring economic development in the area.
