November 28, 2012 – Banner Health has released what was described as a “preliminary draft proposal” for building a healthcare facility on a 28-acre site in Fort Collins, Colo. More details will be provided in mid-January, said Banner spokeswoman Sara Quale, adding that “specific, hard-core plans” are still being developed. The preliminary draft proposal presented to the city includes a hospital to be built in multiple phases, a one-story “health center,” a one-story medical office building and parking for 846 vehicles. According to the conceptual design, buildings would cover 211,500 square feet of the site. Construction could begin as early as the end of 2013 and be completed as soon as the end of 2015, Quale said. Based in Phoenix, Banner has 17 hospitals in seven states, including four in Colorado.
