Who says Limousine Liberals don’t put there money where their mouths are?
November 24, 2012 – When lawmakers get sworn in next month, they will face a number of challenges – including yet another cut in their pay. Beginning Dec. 3, Sacramento officeholders from the governor on down to the 80 members of the state Assembly will see their salaries cut by 5 percent. Under the new pay, set by the independent California Citizens Compensation Commission, Gov. Jerry Brown’s salary will drop to $165,288 a year. That’s $4,044 less than the San Francisco treasurer makes. At $143,571, Attorney General Kamala Harris will be making about $96,500 less than San Francisco District Attorney George Gascón – who replaced her when she moved “up” to state office.
